July 8We spent the day becoming more familiar with Ankara, especially the old city area. I conquered my somewhat queasy fear of heights and ended up climbing quite high on the old city walls. Patricia had no fear whatsoever, practically dancing on the tops of the walls. Scott did his Tai Chi sequence in the middle of the fortification. It was beautiful watching him move from position to position in an effortless flow. An appreciate crowd applauded him when he finished... We continue to observe the seeminly "old" juxstaposed against the new, as demonstrated by the women wearing headscarves as they exchange a cell phone.
